Extensive Definition

Illogic is an American rapper and hip-hop artist. Also written as illogic (similar to the lower case name of rap group dead prez), he has released three full length albums and two EPs. He was signed to Weightless Records , but is now with Dove Ink Records . He has collaborated with a variety of artists, particularly Blueprint of Soul Position, but also including Aesop Rock, Davu, Ant of Atmosphere, along with other Mid-West mc's.

Biography

Illogic began in the Columbus, Ohio hip hop scene when at the young age of 16 he claimed the 1996 Columbus Hip Hop Expo MC battle, surrounded by what would come to be the core of the emerging "bustown" sound. He released his debut in 1998 on Weightless Recordings, “Unforeseen Shadows”. The release was a landmark show featuring Cannibal Ox, Aesop Rock, RJD2, Blueprint, Mhz (Camu Tao & Copywrite), and Atoms Family.
Years later Illogic has shared the stage with Rakim, Casual, Psalm One, Atmosphere, Eyedea, Brother Ali, The Roots, Common, One Be Lo, Modill, Royce Da 5'9', and many other nationally recognized acts. His diligence in the studio is nearly unmatched, unleashing 6 studio albums in 7 years.
He will Be releasing his 4th Full length "Diabolical Fun" in fall 2008 on Weightless records.
